Welcome to Pies By Inge

Hi, My name is Tracy Bodine, owner of Pies by Inge. I have owned the business since 2009 and in 2016, took over as a sole proprietorship. My family and I have lived in Monticello since 1995. My husband, Darren and I, have 5 children, Hannah, Luke, Owen, Ava, and Eliza. The two youngest were adopted from Ethiopia in 2010.

We make everything fresh from scratch in small batches using only the finest ingredients. We bake the old-fashioned way without the use of preservatives or stabilizers so our desserts are meant to be enjoyed fresh from the oven.

Two days' notice is appreciated for most orders. So if you need a dessert for Saturday, please call us by Thursday evening.

QUICK PICK PIES

If you have an event come up suddenly or just run out of time to make your own dessert, give us a call to see if we can help. We try to keep a variety of frozen premade pies for just those times. We also have a selection of frozen cakes and bars available. The varieties of pies are constantly changing so please call The Brown Bag at 217-762-9221, and they can tell you the current inventory.

Just unwrap pie and thaw at room temperature. You may also reheat in a low oven if you wish! They look as if fresh out of the oven and taste just as delicious!

Based in historic downtown Monticello Illinois, located inside The Brown Bag Deli. Our families have been baking pies, cookies, cakes, and other baked goods for many generations. Now, we bring our extensive collection of delicious down home recipes to your customers or family.

Pies by Inge has provided baked goods to Monticello and the surrounding areas since 1990. Our desserts are featured at The Brown Bag Deli, Whisk Coffee & Wine Bar, TLC Coffee House, 121 Coffee Run and The Champaign Country Club. The business began with an emphasis primarily on pie, but now offers a wide selection of desserts to tempt any sweet tooth.
